My predoctoral research aims to help tools and core technologies that help researchers understand protein structure and functional surfaces as well as associated interactions. This work is divided into two areas: virtual reality and visualization and 3D interaction tools that allow for improved perception and interaction with molecular data, and tools that use novel techniques for comparison of functional surfaces of protein and integration of molecular motion with surface representation.
