My research and training goals are to develop the skills needed to quantitatively answer questions of biomedical importance. I would like to combine the data from experimental work with the fundamental laws of chemistry and physics and develop models that explain the observed phenomena. As an undergraduate I conducted research in an interdisciplinary laboratory that studied cytoskeletal structure and function and that developed biophysical models to explain phenomena including actin polymerization and molecular motors.
