High-throughput microfluidics is an emerging field in biology and biochemistry. Methods for obtaining and analyzing the massive amounts of data to be reaped from the highly miniaturized and parallel platform are still being developed. We plan to apply methods that have already been developed for other platforms such as micro-DNA arrays as well as to open new areas of research specific to the microfluidic platform. This will be done in the context of my research to better understand the role of stem-cells in cancer tumorigenesis...
